Ridgeline Athlete Development was born from a lifelong connection to sport, performance and the outdoors.

Bradley Jones has been riding and racing mountain bikes since he was 10. Growing up in Cairns, he also competed at representative level in baseball and athletics, learning early the value of strong fundamentals, structured training and consistent work. Over time, gravity racing became his focus.

In 2014, a significant training crash changed the direction of Brad’s career. His focus shifted from pursuing his own racing goals to helping other riders and athletes develop. That turning point led him to study exercise and sports science and build a career in coaching.

Brad completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and became an accredited Exercise Scientist. He gained experience with Baseball Australia, Baseball Victoria and athlete development and rehabilitation specialists Axis Performance. He also earned mountain bike skills coaching accreditation through the Professional Mountain Bike Instructors’ Association (PMBIA) and Developmental Coach accreditation through AusCycling.

After returning to Cairns in 2023, Brad saw a need for accessible athlete development grounded in sports science. Ridgeline began in the double garage of his home, offering strength and conditioning alongside mountain bike skills coaching.

In 2026, Ridgeline grew into a dedicated studio. Today, it’s a place for young athletes, everyday adults and mountain bikers to build the strength, skills and confidence to keep progressing—whatever they’re working towards.
